Gregg McAlister (Double Ought) / Blog

Ch ch ch changes....

Hoping everybody is enjoying 2015. I was VERY happy to say goodbye to 2014. I lost the best dog I've ever had to cancer, broke my shoulder, my Wife, and best friend, had to have arm surgery, lost my dad to cancer, lost a long time friend and owner of the studio we were recording a CD project, Doug Mullinax (Crystal Rain Studio) to congestive heart failure, and a man (Greg Parris) that I first met while playing little league baseball (Greer Cardinals) when I was in the 5th grade that later became the lead guitarist in my band Double Ought, was diagnosed to have bladder cancer. There's more, but you get the idea... With all of the bad, there was some good. My Daughter married her soulmate in October, we acquired a great guy as our new bass player, and I made a lot of new friends and music contacts. So far, so good for 2015. Hope to finish the CD project before summer, and Greg Parris is battling the bladder cancer like a warrior. Wishing you all the best in 2015 !
