We've now officially finished all the recording that we'll be doing for our demo. It now needs to be mixed, mastered, and printed. We expect to have a product by August, and as soon as it's ready (if not before) we'll have the songs available for free download on our ReverbNation web page (and by extension, Facebook as well). The physical copies will be sent to various venues around town that we want to start playing in, but we plan to have something physical for a couple bucks at our shows for those that want them (and/or want to support us).
We appreciate everyone's patience in waiting for this thing to come out. We're happy to offer it to everyone that wants to hear it, and we hope that the music inspires people to attend our live shows, which will always offer far more enjoyment than our recordings could alone.
We thank everyone that has shown even the most casual interest in what we're doing, because we believe in it very strongly, and it helps very much to know that we're not the only ones.
Back to working on more new material...

We have posted a song from our soon-to-come demo for your listening pleasure. Unlike all the songs previously available to listen to on the internet, this recording features all 4 members of the band!
For any of you that may be wondering, our recording for our demo is about 80-85% finished. We have 2 instruments that need to be recorded on 3 songs each yet, and once we're finished with that, we'll be trying to put some polish on it in the form of back-up vocals, cameo instrumentation and so on.
We had been hoping to have a demo to share with everyone by year's end, but that won't be happening, we're afraid. It'll likely still be a couple of months before we have the finished product, ready to go.
We've kept this site updated with changes to this process as they happen, and we expect to be doing this more often as the process draws to a close and all the details are ironed out. Be assured that we will be promoting the demo once it is finished, so just keep an eye out if you're interested. Hopefully, we can even have a demo release party to invite everyone out in celebration of a job well done.
Thanks for reading.

The aforementioned computer issue has sorted itself out in the interim, and since then we have completed the main vocals (in addition to having already finished the main keyboard, drum sections) on the brand-new demo we're putting together, and even gotten started on the bass tracks. We're going to be trying to get a few more of those done this coming weekend, and by then the recording will be roughly 70% done. Hopefully by the end of the year, we can have it all finished, but it may run into next year based on circumstances.
These next few months will be a telling time for us, as we learn to manage ourselves as a performance act and a team. We lost some momentum with the computer problem, and appear to be likely to lose a bit more time before the demo is finally complete and we're ready to start promoting it and playing shows all across the city. This was a by-the-end-of-this-year kind of goal for us, but if it must wait then so be it. We'll still be playing at least once a month, it looks like, up until that point - whenever it comes.

Due to some computer issues, the demo hasn't been worked on in a few weeks. There will be a few weeks more of recording once things are running again, but there is no set date for that as yet. We're trying to get that going as soon as possible, obviously.
We'll be playing more shows in the near future, and will post them as details are finalized.
Our newest member, Danny Aley is already playing shows with us henceforth, and he adds a lot to the music that we couldn't have done else. While fairly busy before, our music is now much fuller and satisfying to the ear. And don't even get us started on the brand new stuff we've been working on.
Thank you all for listening.

It's been over a month since this blog was updated, and there is some news to share with you.
Firstly, we want to thank each of you that have come out to one of our shows to support us and/or those of you that are checking in on this site occasionally for updates. We're flattered that so many people care about the music we're making, and it's encouraging us to continue doing so with smiles on our faces and excitement coursing through our chakras.
Secondly, to anyone that bought tickets for our Hawthorne Theatre show, but did NOT get a complimentary Indecent Records sampler CD (including 3 of our songs, plus 3 from Nothing Said and 3 more from 3KMylz) yet - please let us know and we'll get you one. You can email us about this at purloinedandmine@gmail.com or text us if you know one of our numbers.
To anyone that did NOT make it out to the Hawthorne to see us, never fear! The entire performance will be posted piecemeal on this very site over the course of the next several weeks as that video becomes available to us. Soon enough you'll be able to watch (and rewatch!) that particular performance at your leisure.
Finally, we'd like to announce that soon we expect to have a demo recorded that will include at LEAST the 7 songs that we've been playing publicly for a few months now, and hopefully one or two more songs as well. We'll start this process next week and we hope to have it completed by the end of August, but we have no idea how realistic this timeline is at the moment.
This newer version of our material will incorporate all of the changes we've made to the songs since we last recorded them (the ones currently on our site, that is) AND this time, they will include our bassist Ez on each track. The idea is to get all this down on "tape" and send copies out to venues so that we can play more shows. Already we have a couple of venues that are waiting to receive one, and we want to get that out to them before they lose interest.
We'll provide updates throughout the month of August if you're curious about how all this is going down; plus look out for the aforementioned video clips, which should be put up soon. Thanks for listening to us and/or checking us out! It's a pleasure to see you here.

My, my, my. This has been quite experience, thus far, and VERY surreal. So, we put up our profile mere months ago...before we even had ourselves a bassist, and *POOF* we are playing at the Hawthorne Theater next month. It is nice to be recognized and scary as FUCK for it to be public.
This is Caterina. My blood type is B#. I bend backwards for the awkward and I lust after Benjamin Franklin. When empty, I am more hungry than the planet and when full, I apologize for my indescriminate digestion, but not for my pleasure.
I am a Mathlic. I believe in true numbers and no interpretations, but my own. I also believe in a being that knows all the unknown unknowns of the world. It can not communicate, for if it did, it would forget everything and it only had to learn that lesson once.
I was made from the sweat of Valkyries, with the luck of the Irish and Grecian sensibilities with no olives or red wine. My world orbits 78 galaxies at once and the possibilities are endless. If you jump off now, we will be back around in a day or so with ne'er a nasty glance or pious prick. I want you to experience everything and nothing. Live quantumly, not quickly.
Too true to be good,
Grey.
