flying machines w/ mark moffre

recently came across Mark's fantastic original vocal file on a recovered hard drive and decided to update this tune we did back in 2004......re-recorded the bass guitar and some of the electric guitar lines, added an acoustic guitar track, spiced up the drum track and redid the mix

"skinny".....saved from the ashes

was able to save this foot stompin' alt country tune from a hard drive that had crashed a few years ago.....reworked the arrangement, added a few new parts, then remixed and mastered with Ozone4.............5 acoustic guitar tracks, 1 fretless bass track, 5 drum and percussion tracks and 2 tracks for the dog barks and trains

new collab

was finally able to finish off this cover of Hendrix's "Gypsy Eyes" thanks to Mike Patterson and his great vocal track.......was working on this tune with an old friend and bandmate who was going to do the vocals and live drums but unfortunately he became gravely ill and passed away.....RIP "Wild Man"

spring has sprung

been a long, snowy winter here in cleveburg but made the best of it as usual....recorded some pretty good winter scenes with the camera and had a lot of fun tromping around thru the snow and cold to do it...also squeezed in some time on the guitar and recorded a cover version of Joe Satriani's "Ten Words"...gotta admit, haven't been fond of to much from Satch after the Engines of Creation disc but there are a couple jems mixed in with the flotsam. chose to cover this one because of the simple melody line and the chord progression that reminds me of Bob Dylan's tune "My Back Pages"

rust never sleeps

haven't recorded anything new in a while...i've been more into photography as the spring and summer were really nice here in Ohio....also expecting autumn to be pretty decent as well with a few side trips planned to W. VA. and PA....oh, and if you get a chance check out Roger Waters and his "Wall" tour...fantastic show
