Song Reviews

Lovely vocal Really enjoyed the lead vocal, would definitely replay the song and like to hear more. The arrangement complements it very nicely, especially the way that the keyboard comes in at important points to emphasise the hooks. I have to admit that when I saw the song was going to be nearly 7 minutes long I was a little wary, but I enjoyed it so much that I've not only played it all the way through, but will be playing it again - IanBabington from United Kingdom on 6Jul2007

worship scripture sung with passion. this is actually a genre unto itself. garage band doesn't have a genre or mix for this kind of music which is nice on the one hand because it makes sure that people doing worship or Christian music are being held to the same reviewing quality standards as other music however, there are certain rules that are different. For instance the lyrics here are quoted directly from scripture. they already have context, and so they don't necessarily need to gel in the same way; they needn't rhyme or create any picture or specific statement, because instead they are creating space for a very specific kind of reverence. also the point is to be able to get lost in it, meaning you can get away with a longer song. This is a nice example of a very specific kind of worship song; one which works as a very personal song but also would work in a live environment where the audience could be drawn in to the worship experience without necessarily needing to know the words first. beautiful - sweetiehead from Ambridge, Pennsylvania on 5Jul2007

Keep singing This sounds good right off--well produced. Your vocal is clear and sure and draws me in. You are a bit too low in the mix, though. Nice song, cosistent in feel and performance. Did I say well sung? You have a special talent. Keep singing. - stephengernhauser from Beverly Hills, California on 1Jul2007

haunting interesting intro, females vocals are strong, but could be brought out of the mix maybe abit more. very soothing/lullaby style. - dakencoleman from Belarus on 27Jun2007

I like it You have a very good voice. The music is all in time and beautiful. I could listen to you sing all night. Kinda like a Jewel sound. - Flem from Columbia, North Carolina on 26Jun2007

Ahh... love. for 7 minutes. wow. almost 7 minutes on the clock. and the first lyrics are 'I am yours and you are mine' very atmospheric sound, nice subtle synth pads set the mood, and a well played acoustic is the primary accompaniment. good guitar overdub, nice complementary parts. the female vocalist has a great tone. very pure and clear, well performed and emotive. the musicianship is very solid, this is well recorded and the sounds are very good. - Frosenox from Brooklyn, New York on 26Jun2007

great song; beautiful vocals Lead vocals are very beautiful. Very solid and yet ethereal and mysterious in a way. The hook is fine, and matches the melody and sound of the song very well. I really like the song. - MWehr from Shorewood, Wisconsin on 18Jun2007

Take Me Away What a lovely introduction. Clean, clear vocals fit the music perfectly. Lyrics are very pretty. They could be either contemporary gospel or not. It's up to the listener. Strumming couldn't be better. Synth. is the part that puts your song over the top! - TPIMBER from Friendswood, Texas on 14Jun2007

Like a Dream This song felt like a dream. There is a hypnotic lead vocal (the singers voice is very angelic) and a beautiful lead guitar. I love the ringing notes through out the song. This is a very pretty song. - shock182 from San Angelo, Texas on 13Jun2007
