Skies can seem a brilliant crisp blue
Clouds with silver linings, all of them, not just 1 or 2
Then in 1 or 2, everything can change
Black and grey, lightning streaks, thunder, eventually turn to rain
Hit with pain, I mean against your pane
Still it's all the same
Weather the storm 'cause just as it came
It too will change, rearrange
See, nothing stays the same, maintain
Because there are plenty of rainbows out there too
They come when the brightness comes back and the darkness is through

Let those without sin cast the first stone
False kings rising unto thrones
Majority in a zone
Minorities left alone
Every man for himself
To achieve wealth
Good health is becoming secondary
Birth married
Till death matrimony
Things in the middle be phony
For those believing in the pale horseman riding the pony
It's all Monie
In the middle
While the cat plays the fiddle
And man jumped right over the Moon
Planning extraterrestrial dwellings too soon
Or maybe it's too late
Status of weather starting minds to contemplate
As buildings disintegrate
Christians wait
Muslim cross thin lines between Love and Hate
All we really want is Peace on Earth
But are we willing to pay what it's worth
As priceless as life is
Pulled bids, a better life for our kids
Taking Polaroid mementos but not seeing the big picture
Never in between the lines only reading the Scripture
Love could get cha'
Better yet Love's gonna' get cha', Love's gonna' get cha'
Unless you detach the fixture
Remove your mind from the mixture
Political, religious melting pot
Or just get blazed when the kitchen gets too damn hot
And pray for it all to stop, but you see it coming
If you don't, then why are you running
Away from being my brother's keeper
Being my brother's reaper
Pulling down to survive the fall
Stepping on to rise above it all
What you saw becomes far, distant sense
Until He gives you that pinch
Wake up, take a look through reflection
Getting through the next intersection
Questions, seek ye history for an answer
Once again, we will be ridded of this cancer
For all time, for all this crying
For all this dying
Even the King suffered at the hands of the vicious
Malicious
Demonic
Evil hands with evil plans drunken off the tonic
Why are we on it, this misdirected, infected planet
Why would it take lifetimes to understand it
The glory of goodness always lies
On everything between the meeting of the earth and the skies
Spies of Babylonian
Holding in
Deceiving, make the world believe He doesn't exist
If this is true, why is it so hard to convince, makes sense
Hell naw, it can't, even through all the double talking
Backwards walking
Use your brain, or more important your Heart
Or you will be slain in vain so tear yourself apart
Or continue to entertain, thoughts of the collective mainframe
And not feel the warmth of His name
Better then any man-made virtual pleasure, whether up or down on high
Follower of the Lord, King, and Savior until I die
And beyond, promised everlasting kiss of lives
No one cries, no one dies
There is no need for pills, 'cause there's no more pain
And they calling Christ insane
Searching for a higher plane
Calling on the Son's name
A Love sweeter than any sugar cane
What part of the game are you playing
The war has started, what are you gonna' be
Soldier or victim, martyr or a casualty
Our own souls are what we're fighting for
What the hell you think I'm writing for...

Ever been walking on a one way street, things seem to never ever meet
Speak, why should I when it seems nobody says hi
Or even a head nod as they walk by
The earths cry, seeing tears in the Sunrise
A struggle to shine light on the beings inside
Too much pride, feelings hidden deep
Only to erupt when they awaken from their sleep
But far too many are far too gone
On that same street as before, lost and alone
No way to find home, every wrong turn leads to
That same one way street that seems to follow you
Your crew, when exactly did they disappear
Someday reappear
Heart trembling with fear as a hopeful light draws you near
You steer, but suddenly there's no care to drive
Just thanking God that you're still alive
But did you really survive, inside your Soul still hiding
Waking up to a world where the earth's still crying
You still dying, so you can can feel re-borned
Left no time to mourn, your thought process still torn
And tattered, thought you was climbing up the ladder
You didn't see shit coming until everybody just scattered
Feeling battered, is there no end
But then again...
Maybe it's all in your destiny
Or do you control it with the choices, making things to be
The way it was, the way it is, and the way it could
People want to get together but hiding true faces under a hood
They should, it's all good, those chosen will disrupt
An in the end it will show who really had an overfilled cup
What's more, you still going against the grain
Not knowing one's self will surely drive one insane
There's so much pain, shit everybody goes through
You must thought you were special, stress only unique to you
But who's been through every thing that's about to come
Yet and still you ask where the hell am I coming from
So just run and get smacked up by the brick
Tried to use your head, ended up just using your dick
Just dropping more pollen on the flowers
Emotions feeling like a coward, used sex to gain power
But now it's more confusing that before
Feeling like a bird that's lost the gift to soar
A whore, tricked out by what others think about the inner
This real life, seems like we all are just beginners
No longer a winner, now that's winters going up to seventy
And the burning inside takes total control of your sanity
Now where you be...
All you see is yourself
Flashbacks of the pain you caused, others felt
A belt, trying to whip you in a new direction
And in the end all that's left is a need for affection
But sections got cut off during the procedure
Now it's seems the student is becoming the teacher
Trying to reach a Soul that's been lost in the friction
Those close to the edge better take heed to the prediction

Looking at the Light, seeing through the breeze
My chest heaves...
Leaves a taste of bittersweet fruit from the branch
Left me detached
Monk-like in my presence
Many presents
Re-gifted
Pre-shifted to places unknown to the ordinary, extraordinary passion exploding
Many phase of the Phoenix unfolding
Pushed back to compression
To bring clarity to the message
Placing it neatly in a parable
Medicine for the miserable
Heal-able gripping on, letting go prayers to Zion, Where we're living on
Intruding on dimensions of the mind
When we recline
Falling in and out of places, sippin' on wine that's tasteless
Yet to the blind we remain faceless...

See it's the mysteries, that influence me
To keep writing these, like why are we
Neglecting the writings from our collective history
Or for matter her story
The stories that's been told before but never truly listened to
Looked over but the lessons never leaking through
The unspoken truths that passed us by
The Lost and Forgotten asking why
Like "why couldn't you look at me when I asked for change"
Changed me into a parking meter with no name
Just to hide your own shame
But in the still of the night I came
Took a lot more than what jiggles
And now you're laying in a hospital
But you still don't remember
"You don't remember me"
I tried over and over to ask nicely
But charity for you was a bit too pricey
All I asked for was a little change
And you changed me into a parking meter with no name
So I took from you cause I felt you to blame
But I'm still starving, just the same
And the cause to our effects
Sowed seeds of anger and revenge but now it's just regrets
It's those seeds that grew into the hate
Or was the hate already there...
Looming behind you as you walked along
Justifying that not helping me in the first place wasn't wrong
Mission accomplished, the hate left you alone
Followed me while you were safe in your home
Told me to take from you the next time I caught you leaving
Didn't mention to where my Soul was leading
Leading you to pass by me one more time
In the very same hospital where we both lay dying
Just because you couldn't give me the help I needed without a fight
You came back and there were 2 shots, 2 shocked, 2 Souls lost in the still of that night

To contemplate the Spark, the magnificent part
Like looking into the eyes all the way to the Heart
A taste of the Soul
Too visual to obtain, too colossal to behold
Like small drops of honey from the Sun's lips
A psychedelic orgasm that never slips
The sweetest kiss, the slightest touch from the smallest hand
The imaginary distance between a stranger and a friend
Sustenance stored as memories record thin frames that never explain the planes of bliss
Subtly missed
Captured but never returned, flashes of fire that never burn
The place of no concerns, as we rotate but cannot feel the turns
A peaceful seat on a noisy train
The way a stream teaches us how to maintain
A warm blanket, an even warmer smile
The thought that someone just sat for a while
The contagious laughter, the morning after love connected
The pride of just being respected, reflected, protected
That Spark seems to project it
All that wish for it are instantly affected...

I'm trying to be that bridge over troubled water...
Tired of the separation, the reparations will never surface
I'm starting to see I'm the mule tilling 40 acres of service
Four hundred years still ain't really hurt us, we too strong in the spirit
They calling for leaders but we're too clouded to hear it
Too afraid to cross the bridge to get near it, stuck east and west of the Cuyahoga
It's seeming that bridge is over
Soldiers for Jehovah standing behind enemy lines
Battling over territory that's really yours and mine
Declined the climb
Losing the war over our minds
Settling to be accepted, to be infected with virtues of the republican
Please learn the true design of this "democratic" government
Because see, I was sent, for my words to shake the pillars of the establishment
Look inside my heart if you wondering where the Panthers went
Or search the inventory of your own soul
The Revolution never died, it was just put on hold...

Pieces of the pie be uncertain
Every sunrise, up rise the curtain
Of lifelike movie scripts
Most must flip
To intricate improvise
Time flies
So does money that's spent
Things we do under the dark tint
Everyone's done it dirty to keep it mint condition
All this tension trying to make a pension
When all these hands be pinchin', very few be pitching
The ones that does, never last
Never dwell on the past
Inscriptions...
To my major missions
On my scroll, can't fold and be divided
Process to collect dividends, ends not provided
Just ride it, like the silver I've sported
Indonesia imported
While habits not supported
It's not new but definitely ported
Recorded on slices of papyrus
While others memories, 2000 leagues under the abyss
Millennium crisp
Seventy-seven thru ninety-nine couldn't miss...
Direction, which way is up
Being a "Pryor" to get richer
Lord, please brighten up the picture...

Out of Darkness comes light
To make it thru the night
Seems so trying
See my people are dying
Crying out for revolution
No leader with a solution
Or a clue
On what we need to do
Prepare, take care of Him blessings
Thru all the testings
Of wills, spills of alcohol on the pavement
Dark tint
That seems to cover the streets
The sound of death just riding the beat
Defeat....never
Faith with keep us forever
Whatever they do to try to take my Sunshine...
See my kind are of chosen, frozen in gridlock
Father calling them back but they don't know how to stop
This hurting feeling, millions uncalled for...homicide
Genocide, crucified
Tied down by the shackles of babble
Misunderstandings thru the travels
Earth to earth, some connected
Others misdirected
Infected with the worst disease
Oh how these unclean, infest the eternal dream
Seem like they keep trying to steal my Sunshine...
My ray of hope
My way to cope
My strength to call on
When it seems all else is gone
When everybody's wrong
And you are all alone
If you're empty, you have no belief
The only relief
From this trial of all trials
Stand of all stands
Understand, those who lie, cheat, and even kill
To steal away that very Sunshine...
Skies getting hazy
World gone crazy
From backyard to boulevard
Small specks of ultra-violent
Time spent in a place
Fallen from grace, this place
Oh, this place...
Angelic melody
See 'cause I can still see my Sunshine....
My sweet Sunshine
And every night I make it
I know they can never take it
Away
Everyday
My Sunshine
My sweet Sunshine
