The Nigerian artist born and raised in Lagos used to listen to artists such as Evanescence, Aaliyah, Usher and so many more when he was young and he would sing harmonies along whilst listening to them. Tyson has always had a passion for music and he could finally express it when he discovered he could sing in college. He took it seriously since then and has been honing his skills as a vocalist. He got some musical theatre experience working as a singer in Music Theatre Bristol (MTB) whilst he was doing his undergraduate degree in Bristol University. He participated as a cabaret singer and performed with other talented singers in various themed cabarets and a couple of musicals. Tyson has also had the opportunity to open for some major Nigerian acts such as Wande Coal, Eldee and Ikechukwu.
Tyson draws musical inspiration from artists such as Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Usher, Frank Ocean, Wande Coal, Asa, James Fauntleroy and so many more. He makes RnB/pop and sometimes fuses Afrobeats with it.
With his release of his EP called Dreaming In Colour late 2012, he is currently working on visuals in 2013.
