Press:

“Who doesn’t love a guy with an acoustic guitar? Chris Ryan has a sound that just may draw you in like never before. His smooth, folk-pop style is timeless; his voice is youthful yet seasoned. Ryan's got a resume that reads like a man on a mission. Since he was 15 years old, he's been touring the world in bands of many styles; living in vans, sleeping in parking garages - his love of the art pushing and fueling his passion. He plays several instruments and has mastered them all. Yet, in the midst of all of this, Chris has managed to release three projects of his own acoustic music. Now, at 22, Ryan is gaining attention with his song, Into Your Arms; with placements on several television shows. Check it out here!”
ABC Family Website

“Chris Ryan’s lyrics are introspective yet approachable, his voice is youthful but seasoned, and his style is timeless. His earnest, down-to-earth songs set an emotional tone in a TV scene without stealing it, a valuable quality to music supervisors. Chris has a promising future!”
Caitlin Hill - ABC Television, Director, Creative Music Services

“Chris Ryan’s music moves you. He has a quality that will give him longevity in the music business. For someone so young, he has accomplished so much – I’m sure he will be able to make a career in his field.”
Gregory Yantek - ABC Television, Music Supervisor

“If you liked Tim Urban and Aaron Kelly on “American Idol, “ but just wish they were the real deal, check out Chris Ryan. Ryan, 19, crafts perfect pop-rock songs that will melt your heart faster than Dashboard Confessional ever did and at half the age. Think Teddy Geiger, but with better songs.”
Vanessa Franko - Press Enterprise, Riverside, California

“Chris Ryan, a young man with a gift of melody presented through well-formed acoustic work, earnest vocals and reflective lyrics, minus the usual overwrought teen angst. Beat the bandwagon and herd of swooning young ladies sure to flock his way once they catch a glimpse of his heart-throb looks with actual talent behind those “dreamy sigh-inducing eyes!””
Jerry Wilson - Goldfish And Clowns Blog

“The trials and tribulations of teenage love are the stories of text messages and e-mails: not every teen gets a chance to tell his through songwriting and a CD released at Best Buy. Chris Ryan, of Grand Terrace, just released his debut EP, "Colors." He will perform a CD release show Saturday at Best Buy in San Bernardino. The 17-year-old wrote his first song in Oct. 2007, spending a month working on it for his girlfriend at the time. The relationship ended right before he presented her with the song. However, he got more material out of the situation. With influences such as John Mayer, Nick Drake & Coldplay, Chris follows a singer/songwriter vibe, a contrast to his earlier music forays into hardcore punk. His music has been picked up by Paste Magazine & American Airlines for an in-flight radio show in December. Chris spent time growing his fan base online, connecting with listeners and asking for comments on his music. ”
