Biography:

Agents Of Chaos began in 2009 after Brien DeChristopher moved to Seattle, WA from Tampa, FL and found no bands in the Seattle market that he was willing to bleed for. Since he had come from a band called Arsenal, where he had played in auditoriums and civic centers, he felt to settle for less would be taking too far a step back. So he knuckled down and wrote. In hopes that he would complete some old ideas, come up with some new ones, and hopefully find the right talent to complete what his mind and heart heard for his music. Through a trial of errors in filling key spots, eventually Brien and Jake McCoy met. Having cut his teeth around the northern part of Washington State with a band called Dryver, Jake's voice had captured the attention of executives in major recording labels and it also captured Brien's attention. The combination of Jakes voice, phrasing, lyricism, and vocal styling was a natural fit to Brien's guitar playing, writing-style, and sound.

Immediately after Jake joined the team, two began working on the content for the first EP, "Volume One" with David George on Bass and Scott Henderson on Drums. After much hard work, in the Spring of 2013, Volume One was released commercially via iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and physical CD hardcopy.

After placement in a few key magazines in and around Europe, Agents of Chaos saw an immediate reaction in a number of countries, and have been receiving radio play in as little as 16 different countries, including France, Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Canada, North America, South America, Greece, Poland, Russia, Czechoslovakia, etc.

"Some of the reviews AOC has received on Volume One have really surprised us," says Guitarist, Brien DeChristopher, "We tried to cover a wide spectrum of style right off the bat with the five songs on the release. And listeners appear to have picked up on it as last we checked, we had a 53/47% Male to Female demographic... not to mention we pull an age bracket of 18 to 54! It cannot possibly get any better than that. Maybe not even by professional industry standards." The EP is laced with some heavy, hard rock, as well as a ballad, and some interesting tricks with time in other tracks. "Recorded and Mixed by Jacen Touchstone at Article 184 Studios on Vashon Island, WA and Mastered by Chris Hanszek (Soundgarden, The Melvins, Robyn Hitchcock) the end result is a powerful CD with way too few songs on it." stated by Gary Stockton - Blogger/Audio Engineer.

Press:

“Justifiable as it may be to parallel this band with these icons of Grunge (Alice In Chains/Soundgarden), that does not necessarily reflect the complete personality of AGENTS OF CHAOS. In their own way, "Window Pain" and "One Last Look" reveal another facet to the group. The first is a ballad strongly supported by the clear guitar voicing and arpeggios by BRIEN DeCHRISTOPHER. The second borrows from classic Heavy Metal with Brien's energetic guitar playing embellished nicely with harmonics.”
Chouman - Metal Integral

“There are many good points to Agents Of Chaos - great name, great vibe, a great vocalist in Jake McCoy Martin and some great songs - BUT I'm betting you've heard it all before.... Loads of people will enjoy the five tracks on offer because they place a blanket over a whole (Seattle) scene and more and, just like Godsmack, they'll do alright for themselves because they're more than decent.”
Ross Welford - Uber Rock UK

“Agents Of Chaos come from Seattle, if you weren’t aware of this it would become apparent within the first few minutes of the opening track ‘Face Down’. Alice In Chains were obviously a big influence on the band and their sound is very similar, but they have the ability to put their own spin on the post grunge sound. The 5 tracks on offer here are classy slabs of melodic rock with a grunge edge, the highlights being ‘ Cold War’ and ‘One Last Look’ which contains a low down, dirty riff which underpins the track. This EP is worth searching out, at the moment the band are without a label, but on the evidence here it should only be a matter of time before they are snapped up.”
