Taking on the world one crowd at a time to make rock music important again…This is Rockett Queen.
Storming out of East Texas, Rockett Queen burst onto the scene in 2003 and has since been a force with which to be reckoned. Fronted by charismatic, explosive lead vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee, and driven by the untamed Jay Scars on lead guitar and Chaz Graves on bass. As well as the compelling Keith Crash on drums, they have cultivated immense recognition and rave reviews of their full length debut "Too Rock For Radio."
Not every band can boast the title "Best unsigned band in America"… Rockett Queen can. Rockett Queen quickly earned the title "Best Unsigned Band in America" by winning the contest that ultimately resulted in their hit single "The Next Big Thing" to be featured in the full length film "John Tucker Must Die." This earned them a spot on the soundtrack along with The All American Rejects, Cartel, Ok Go and many more. With that notoriety, it wasn't long before MTV beckoned and featured "The Next Big Thing" in their hit TV show "Newport Harbor". Following the success of “The Next Big Thing,” Rockett Queen quickly raced back into the studio to record their sophomore EP "Kiss and Tell," which has already been declared "the best thing Rockett Queen has released to date." The track “Since You Been Gone” gained notoriety and received heavy airplay on Top 40 radio station The Breeze, where it continues to thrive.
While cultivating a devoted following in the U.S., Rockett Queen also released “Too Rock For Radio” in Japan on Little Rock Records. "Inrock," one of Japan's largest music magazines, featured a 2-page spread on Rockett Queen alongside Avril Lavigne, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, HIM, and the Foo Fighters.
Since the release of “Too Rock For Radio,” Rockett Queen has persevered playing a multitude of shows for over 25,000 fervent fans with artists including Hinder, The All American Rejects, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Story Of The Year, Bowling For Soup, Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, Bad Religion, The Sounds, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, and Thursday, in addition to multiple stops on the Vans Warped Tour.
Poised to ascend to new heights, Rockett Queen has recorded and is unleashing their new EP “Goodnight California” featuring the hard-driving anthem and their first single “I Hate You” July 1, 2011. Rockett Queen is devoting the summer of 2011 to racking up miles on the blacktop as they continue to tour and be up close and personal with each of their Rockett Queen Legion fans.
“Rockett Queen hail from Tyler, TX, but you’d swear they walked straight off the Sunset Strip. Flip the disc over to see three guys that embody the glitz and glamour of the Rock N Roll lifestyle with a modern twist to the wardrobe…no spandex thank God! The best part is Rockett Queen don’t have to rely on their image because the music speaks for itself. They have a genuine radio ready sound, and the songs are catchy. Each song utilizes a simple, yet effective formula that blend the glory of 80′s Glam with a new sound which helps define the band, and make them rise above the crop of shit you’d normally find on said radio. Though I normally turn away from music of this genre, Rockett Queen have appealed to my Glam Metal roots, and touched a special spot in me that makes me like them despite the disc sitting next to my Rotting Corpse disc. Thankfully, the two have yet to wage war on my shelf.”

“Rockett Queen was in Houston to perform an intimate concert after a murder mystery dinner/benefit. Those that attended the exclusive event at Super Happy Fun Land were treated to a really fun time. The music was loud and rocked hard. Plus, frontman Walter Lee was pretty funny. I loved the crowd interaction and reaction! The band had a way of including everyone in their show. I don’t believe anyone really wanted it to end.”

“Another heavy bill as Murder FM, Cage 9, Betawolf and Rockett Queen pillage through Trees in Deep Ellum on February 10th, 2011 for what was a hot show on a very cold night in Dallas Texas.
Tyler Texas rock band, Rockett Queen, opened the show with their high energy performance setting the evening off on a positive pace. This young zestful four piece band proved once again they came to play and play hard. Rockett Queen delivered the goods.
