Is it possible that “funk rock” could be touched by the power of the cross and radically speak life to a 21st Century generation? What began as a heartfelt desire in two musicians (Ricardo and Richard) who shared the same love for classic rock and urban music and the vision to utilize it to proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ would quickly become a living reality!
Sevenlove (which simply means, “God’s perfect love”) is an explosive Christian band that hails from the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Though known for their distinct signature sound of funk rock, the plethora of musical influences that emerges from each individual member has created a powerful eclectic sound that crosses all racial, social and denominational lines-leaving the heart not only pulsating with excitement, but most importantly, reaching out inquiring to know the way, the truth and the life that is Jesus Christ!
Formed in 1998, Sevenlove has had the privilege of ministering the Gospel through music throughout the metropolitan DMV area, including such events such as: The annual July 4th Christ on the Mall festival on the National Mall, The Savor Bowie Concerts for Causes festival and landed in the Semi Finals of the BODOG Battle of the Bands Washington DC competition as well as performing in churches, coffeehouses and community programs throughout the region.
Sevenlove’s vision and mission is to reflect and model a consecrated life to Christ and proclaim His love through music ministry and encourage bold living for Christ in this present world-while tearing down man-made traditions that have prevented people from appreciating God.
