"Folk" has become a funny label for Tall Heights. It felt right when they went all-in on a career in music, street performing over 100 days in 6 months to fund their first recordings. It felt right when their plucky single, "To Be Young," worked its way into the hearts of their hometown, Boston MA, and spread to the nation on Pandora and Spotify. It felt right when they played 300+ shows in '13 and '14 all across the United States. However, with the recent release of new EP Holding On, Holding Out, Tall Heights stays true to their harmony, cello and guitar laden souls, while creating something brand new.

The magic developed on the streets of Boston when Tall Heights was invited to take part in Faneuil Hall’s world-renowned Street Performer Program in 2010. Through day in, day out performances for crowds of enthusiastic tourists, they crafted a stirring folk/pop sound with their unique blend of tight vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar and cello. In the year since, Tall Heights has sold over 2,000 copies of their debut record, headlined packed houses from Washington, DC to Burlington, and garnered praise from national acoustic acts like Andrew Belle, David Wilcox, Barefoot Truth, and Ryan Montbleau.
““Every once in a blue moon you get blown away by an act you’d previously not heard of. Fans of Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, fans of great music and art in general need to be aware of Tall Heights. What an incredible duo.”
