Originally lead guitarist/singer/songwriter w/ early 80s NY punk band Tension Envelopes, I've recently began performing solo acoustic shows of old and new material in Southeast Colorado. One of these shows has resulted in a live CD of a performance at a local Food Drive I organized (yes, I'm still a firm believer in the punk DIY ethis, if the tunes aren't as loud and fast anymore)in the ridiculously small but lovely town of Fowler Colorado, where I've been hiding out and writing for waaaaay too many years. Have decided to reenter the fray w/said CD 'My Bloody Hootenanny'. Hello world! Since writing the above I've recorded 4 additional CDs and moved back to Nyack NY.
"If tim had written Lou Reed's The Blue Mask, this'd opened that, too. Great opening line/refrain: "I'm thinking about you, 'cause I've opened my eyes." But really, the guitar does most of the talking here, between the atmospherics that open the song and the squealy soloing after and over the lyrics. Really, it's one of tim's best.
