Biography:

Versatile, prolific artist, Galiano embodies a “rock n’ roll soul”, constantly inconstant, ardent persona that wanders through an all-around improbable combination of styles, themes, sounds, instruments and eras, rendering avid comparisons—by media and public alike—, so diverse as to Springsteen’s Jersey sound; Stevie Wonder’s funk; David Bowie’s blue eyed soul; Creedence’s swamp land; Bryan Ferry’s sophisti-pop; Otis Redding’s Memphis soul; Motown’s AM pop; Van Morrison’s R&B; Kiss’ 70s theatrical rock; Tom Petty’s heartland; Def Leppard 80’s glam metal; The Cure’s new wave; Roxette’s Euro pop; Rod Stewart’s soft rock; Keith Urban’s modern country; Ian Hunter’s proto-punk; Badfinger’s power pop; Jeff Healey’s blue eyed blues; Cat Stevens’ soul searching singer-songwriter sensitivity; Dire Straits’ album rock; and even southern, improvised band jam incursions such as Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes and Dave Matthews Band serve as a feasible reference which suggests his music is everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

And this is just to name a few. Being a Brazilian-Argentine export, Galiano also tackles Rock Brasileiro made authentic by Capital Inicial and Legião Urbana at the same extent he dwells into Rock Argentino, inspired by Soda Stereo, Calamaro and Fito Páez—even with the occasional incursion on tango and chamamé (from Northeastern Argentina).

If that wasn’t an already vast array of genres, he has also tampered, in his (many) side projects, with different sounds, even decades: The Proud Maries’ self-proclaimed 60s-to-70s sound; Bastidores’ 70’s rock revival; 80’s hard rock with Sixxty9; Black Coffee Machine and 90’s post-grunge; 2000’s adult alternative with Vodka Frog; BodyShot’s synthpop/EDM inclinations of the new millennium; and even Malparidos’ desperate and timeless ghost metal.

Versatility clearly sets the tone for his work, which is also evident in his multi-instrument conveyance: Galiano handles electric & acoustic guitar, bass, drums, percussion, banjo, mandolin, piano, b3, rhodes, clavinet, wurlitzer, harmonica, glockenspiel; whilst also writing arrangements for strings and horns. The list goes on, since every year he seems to be learning a new instrument.

He engineers his own recordings at his home studio in upstate Sao Paulo, frequently collaborating with mixing/mastering engineers, musicians and artists all around the globe. His work has been mixed by L.A.’s Eric Greedy (Ringo Starr, Smashing Pumpkins, Mötley Crue); Northern California’s Brendan Duffey (Angra, Billy Sheehan); Florida’s Austin Leeds (Armin Van Buuren, Avicii); Nashville’s Eric Singer (Shania Twain, The Dixie Chicks), Adriano Daga and most recently Daniel Sanjines. Artists like Lydia Salnikova, Peu Kuyumjian, Sarah Clanton and Mariami have featured in his songs. Musicians ranging from New York Symphony Orchestra violinists to celebrated heavy metal guitarists such as Gustavo Carmo have left their mark in his recordings.

Galiano’s live performances are, perhaps, his most recognized attribute, with a passionate, intense and urgent portrayal, as if each set was his last appearance on earth. Devoted to the art of giving, he spares no energy or effort in redeeming music as a celebration of life–rarely is he seen static on stage, convinced that it is an ever-changing, dynamic and impossible testimony.

His latest album, “O Mundo Não Existe”, is an open love letter to his brother, who passed away in 2019, and further expands his foray into different styles. Singles like the title track, “Follow the Sun” and “The Wanderer” transition smoothly through emotions like longing and wistfulness, quickly gaining attention in social media & streaming services.

Earlier in 2019 he celebrated a quarter-century career releasing the ambitious “25 Miles”, with 25 previously unreleased compositions (or new renditions) taken from each year of his musical life. “Leave Me Behind”, the driving single from the album, was intensely featured in rock radio stations across the country.

Ambition, as a propulsive motive, was also noticeable in the 2016’s double endeavor “Outras Estradas, Vol. 1” and “Otras Rutas, Vol. 2”, each album capturing the land border between Brazil and Argentina—and the “Km1000”, eternalized in his trademark song—under a different light.

2006 saw the release of his first solo album, “Em Qualquer Lugar”, which explored Brazil’s MPB with a lighter, closer-to-pop approach and the launch of a bountiful career.

Galiano’s relentless, arguably unprecedent prolific artistic production is all that more impressive considering that music is not his full-time job – maybe not even a job itself. A renowned business and brand consultant, he leads Ipsos Strategy3 in Latin America and is a graduate professor at prestigious universities, founder of One Rock Records (an independent music label that helped propel the career of quite a few artists), curator of an arts & education magazine and executive producer of music festivals. At heart, he is fundamentally a husband & father of 5 children, 3 adopted dogs and a turtle.

Indeed, music could never be just a job. Such a conclusion would be an understatement, given his undying commitment to transforming music into the simplest, most frequently overlooked, impassioned essence of life.

“The guitar riffs in this song are killer!”
Crowd Review

“Beginning riff is amazing, and sounds like it could be a definite hit.”
Crowd Review

“I must admit that I've never heard a beat so good sounding and on point that I took out my headphones and turned on my surround speakers. I like every verse that came out of your mouth. You poured your heart out for the people who provided you with this nice beat and you also made a point throughout this song. Your background singer is just as amazing both of you guys sound so terrific keep up the good work and I'll keep listening!”
Crowd Review

“Syncopated bass riff intertwines with some pleasant banjo for a killer opening hook. Mellows out for the lyrics, but the banjo returns with fiddle for the chorus. I'm almost reminded of John Cougar Mellencamp during the chorus. Bridge features male/female duet, impassioned. The breakdown at the end is superb and memorable.”
Crowd Review

“I love it from the guitar sounds to the artist voice. It is a nice country ballad as well as a good dancing folk song. It has a lot of harmony as well as melody to it. The duet section of it really made it as well. Definitely a song for everyone. I would enjoy putting on my boots listening to that song.”
Crowd Review

“Very catchy beat right from the beginning! It 's very intriguing from the first beat! The lyrics are also very good and the tune in which they are sung could not be perfected. Very countrified! I would DEFINITELY buy this song! It 's worth learning the lyrics over. I guess parts of it would be used for commercials too!”
Crowd Review

“A good spicey start ! The acoustic's are great , I like the additional instruments used in this song. The vocalist adds life with his up beat chorus added in. The lyrics are really full of feeling and I can relate to te words. The female vocalist adds fun and excitement to the song as a back up. The harmony of the two singers makes a diffrence to the sound I like their compatability in sound the harmony works for them! Good sound a definite hit in the country singer realm.”
Crowd Review

“I really liked the intro to this song. It was short and punchy. I was impressed with the vocals and the range of tones in the song. The melody and guitar were very satisfying to listen to. The chorus was also very catchy and I can see this song becoming a commercial success in areas such as America where the country style songs are more popular.”
Crowd Review

“Reminds me of "Gimme some lovin" by the Spencer Davis Group. But disregarding the lyrics that are all about dancing, it 's a good folksy sounding song. It 's put together pretty well, and has plenty of slow to fast transitions. The musicians did a good job playing - they sound professional. This is almost a new country song but it has to be put on the dance floor and a couple of beers wouldn't hurt.”
Crowd Review

“Love the two guitars together - one playing the slidey riff and the other playing the chords. Really like the slide guitar playing in the background. Very simple choice of chords, but that is all this song needs - the guitar riffs and bouncy feel of it, give it all it needs! The banjo that comes in for the second verse really enhances that country feel! The female's voice comes in as well and now really does give us the country feel! Like Johnny Cash and June Carter. As one sings a line the other compliments it perfectly with a pedal note or another line in almost canonic form! The lyrics are lovely and the following guitar solo ventures away from this country effect and more onto a Rock vibe! It 's a lovely song with passion, emotion, good and simple music.”
Crowd Review

“I like the concoction of punchy sounds in the introduction, they are striking and very arresting. They make me interested in the song before the melody begins which is a good thing. The vocals melody oozes sultriness and electric passion. The singer fully understands the mood of the song and therefore expresses the lyrics in the appropriate tone and style. The vocals are very consistent and expressive. The singer puts in a really memorable performance. The lyrics have depth and creativity. They also have a natural rhythmic quality which enables them to flow really well and stick in the mind. The backing singers do a good job in supporting the lead vocalist and the instruments are played really well and really capture the mood of the song. The beats are just incredible and grab me completely. I think this is a remarkable production and I can see it doing very well in the commercial charts.”
Crowd Review

“Okay, so this sounds like country music. You know, normally I don't like country music, but if this isn't, it sounds like it and it 's really good. The guitar makes it sounds country, but the vocals make it really catchy. Sounds like something you'd listen to on a road trip. It sounds radio-friendly, for those who enjoy all genres. I give it a 7 because some people like me, who enjoy lots of things will like it, while others will just be like 'its' horrible,' but it 's still great. The instruments, melody, and vocals are brilliant.”
Crowd Review

“Bluesy riffs accentuate this folk/rock track. The addition of the fiddle is definitely a plus. I liked the male/ female call and response vocals and the guitar solo was solid.”
Crowd Review

“Nice intro guitars that gets you ready to enjoy the rest of the tune. I like the melody and the lyrics were pretty good. Overall, this is a decent country song that manages to not sound too much like country! The drumming and guitars performed well as did the fiddle.”
Crowd Review

“I really like this song, it 's so upbeat and catchy! The vocals are very powerful, edgy and strong. The instruments are played professionally throughout and the sound quality is brilliant. Also the woman has a beautiful talented voice. The whole song is very heartwarming and I really enjoyed it! There is a lot of potential and the lyrics are super catchy!”
Crowd Review

“Liking this song, very good lyrics and fits in well with the beat. The man has a nice vocal pitch and the female has a powerful voice that fits perfectly. The guitar has a nice sound to it and again fits well with the song. All in all a nice song with very nice instrumentals and would recommend this to friends.”
Crowd Review

“The song is upbeat, catchy, and it grabbed my attention. The lyrics are easy to understand. I enjoy the change in music, from fast to slow then, returning to a faster beat. I love the duo and their singing together. The chorus is catching and I feel like I should be putting on my boots. The song is a change from a sadcountry song. I could envision people line-dancing to this song.”
Crowd Review

“This was a really good country song. I thought the vocals had a unique quality to them that set them apart from many others that I've heard. Also, the female vocals harmonizing definitely added something to the song as well. I thought the musical riffs were also good.”
Crowd Review

“The first thought I had was that this sounds like a happy-summer time kind of song that you want to drive with all the windows down. It 's really fast paced and the vocals are great with the male and female singers together. The female has a strong voice that reminds me of Pink and balances the softer sounding male voice.”
Crowd Review

“A tuneful electric guitar solo gets this song going, before the rest of the instruments kick in. This song sounds to me like a rock/country type of song, as the melody swings along like a country song, but the harmony injects some rock into the track. It is a catchy song, and has a nice happy go lucky charm to it, and this is the kind of song, where you would learn the words after just listening to it a couple of times, due to its simplicity. The electric guitar is leading the music, followed by the drums and bass guitar, but then the trumpet in the background lifts the spirits of the song, making it more of a happy tune. I could imagine people really enjoying this track, they would all learn the words fast, and be able to sing along together. This track could have some commercial success in my opinion, I think people will enjoy it, and it will make them smile, so I think its a song you could sell. This is a good song, with a good sound.”
Crowd Review

“Sounds like a throwback song, has good music and something you could dance to. I would like to hear more from this artist. Had a fun beat. It has a unique old school sound. This would be a good song to include on a dance mix.”
Crowd Review

“I really enjoyed this artist. I think that along side the band this artist gave a fantastic performance. I think that this artist should anticipate that this song will do very well in this music industry.”
Crowd Review

“The introduction was upbeat with the guitar. The harmony of the singers sounds good. I like the part where it says my heart goes thumping every time. That is a good hook. It is a catchy song. Great guitar solo. The drums were a good addition. The rhythm was pleasant.”
Crowd Review

“Good upbeat intro! Vocals are clear and so are the lyrics. The mood of the song is happy and fun. Vocals blend well together! This song has personality and is straightforward. Tempo makes the song danceable and easy. Instruments have good sound. Sound is very stylish and simple but very appealing. I think this song is marketable!”
Crowd Review

“I like this song. The musical composition is very nice. It has a little of a country music twang to it, but the vocals are much more pop than country. The group has really good harmoney. The two vocalists go well together they are both strong solid singers, together they are hot. The band is well put together, they have gelled, and they are making good music together. I would love to hear this song on the radio.”
Crowd Review

“I like the nice guitar introduction at the beginning, setting a nice classy guitar feel. The vocal melody comes in at the right time, and I like the steady tone of his voice. The rhythm is kept perfectly with the guitar and drum taps in the background. The lyrics are very pleasing to listen to and are very meaningful. The instrumentation is very balanced, letting the vocal artist come out while still supporting him. Overall, this is a great song and I wish to hear more in the future.”
Crowd Review

“I really like the beat to this song. the intro really is jovial and creative. the lyrics to this song are easy and precise. there clean and upbeat. there`s a really good lead vocal in this. his voice is full of the great range needed in this. the backup singers are just an added compliment here..there`s potential in this mix. lots of attitude in this arrangemet”
Crowd Review

“The introduction to the track is steady and entertaining. Makes me feel like I am at a live concert with the band, due to how raw the instrumentals sound. The singer has a great voice that is soothing yet has its own edge to it. The beat is steady and picks up pace as the song proceeds. It creates a build up, which draws me in ready for more. The words are written well, with a story the singer tells to the listeners. I find the chorus catchy and fun. It 's an uplifting jam that has a lovely melody and really keeps my attention. The other singer that chimes in later on really sounds fantastic. Her vocals are probably my favorite.”
