Biography:

Sabrina Weeks and Swing Cat Bounce (SCB) is a high energy bouncing boogie blues band hailing from British Columbia. Sabrina’s voice is a ménage à trois between Etta James, Fae West and Doris Day writhing beneath black satin sheets. Add Mike Hilliard who is by far one of the most underrated yet insanely talented guitar players in Canada and you have something exciting and fresh. When attending a Sabrina Weeks and Swing Cat Bounce performance, you laugh out loud, dance uncontrollably, sing along, loud and proud, and get lost in a series of unforgettable moments.

Their extensive touring and hard work has resulted in several accolades including:

"Sabrina has more energy than that bunny in the battery commercials. She also has class, style, sass and smarts. When she sings, the whole damn room lights up. I could be in love..."

Richard Flohil, Publicist, Richard Flohil and Associate

“Sabrina can caress a ballad, shout a mean blues, and swing with the best of them. Sabrina's gift in using her exceptional voice includes the ability to make lyrics come alive. Hearing her is a beautiful experience.”

Press:

““Sabrina Weeks & Swing Cat Bounce is a little city band with a big city sound and I do mean BIG. These cats can stand up against any Swing-ing Boogie Blues band out there today and not only hold their own, but blow the competition away.” ”
John Vermilyea - The Blues Underground Network

““It’s music that’s full of life, vitality and fun. While the “bouncers” are excellent musicians, it’s Weeks who dominates with a voice that sounds like it was trained back in the 1940s and 1950 s. She just gets that boogie down right.” ”
Dale Bass, Reporter/Columnist - Kamloops This Week

"Sabrina Weeks brings the goods with a powerful voice and spirited sound. She's a talented artist that doesn’t take herself TOO seriously, which shines through with her sassy, yet strong song lyrics that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.”
J-Man - Dawg FM

““New in name but chock full of chops, Sabrina Weeks & Swing Cat Bounce is a hot young blues band with a jazzy, swingy feel that is irresistible. With an excellent debut CD, "Tales from Lenny's Diner," this is the best new live act I've heard in ages.” ”
Brant Zwicker - At the Crossroads

Jack Lavin, Powder Blues - Jack Lavin Droductions

““Vocalist/front person, Weeks is a formidable vocal presence whose style is rooted in a past era that was dominated by jazzy big band sounds. She brings a certain verve associated with the days of ballrooms and sequins and this energy is matched by the swing-centric blues-based Swing Cat Bounce.” ”
Dean Gorden-Smith, Reporter/Columnist - Vernon Morning Star

““Sabrina Weeks and Swing Cat Bounce deliver the blues goods…” ”
Robert Bartosh - Roots Music Report

““Sabrina's everywhere vocally...soft, sexy, sultry, powerful and commanding. This gal can sing.” ”
Peter “Blewzman” Lauro - Mary 4 Music

“I enjoyed the Swing Cat Bounce. Great songs, great sound, Sabrina has a perfect voice for it. An energized performance: Good drums, good rhythms, And . . . what a terrific lead guitar! Could have been Colin James up there.”
Grant Russell, Music by the River

““Everything about Sabrina Weeks is hot – the sound, the song writing, the level of musicianship, even the name has its own inner heat! The sound is powerful and dynamic, fueled in part by Week’s amazing vocal energy” ”
