Biography:

It was in the dark winter of 2003 that 3 members of a death-metal outfit from Aizwal finally decided that there should be a permanent representative in the capital city of New Delhi. They did that in the form of an upstart death-metal band called IIIrd Sovereign. After they played their first and extremely successful gig at the Lunglei (Mizoram), there has been no looking back and the band has gone from strength to strength, facing numerous obstacles in their evolution with admirable determination. Since the release of 2006’s Horrified Visions EP, the band has witnessed several lineup changes, yet remains true to its single-minded resolve, which is making pure and honest death metal music. With a full-length album currently in production, IIIrd Sovereign are set to grab the reins of the fledgling metal scene and showcase the true potential of Indian extreme music.
