Take equal parts of all the artists that have influenced Chris, put them in a blender, mix slowly for about 10 years until a Rocky American down home soulful color is achieved. Now pour the mixture over an intelligent, insightful yet simple approach to songwriting and you have the perfect drink of Chris Allen Burke.
HISTORY
The founder and bandleader of the 1990’s southern California based band, HIRED GUNS. Originally from Maryland, Chris has been a much sought after band member and recording session musician throughout his career. His multiple award winning talents and flavor for a broad range of styles have brought a lot of attention and constant work to his table. In 1996 he made the decision to step to center stage.
Chris started heading down this familiar path booking himself as a single then quickly progressed to duos. Finally on to the strength of a full band, HIRED GUNS. Establishing himself as an original artist and winning awards for instrumentation as well as song writing,
2002 Chris found himself traveling. His curiosity landed him in the very musically comfortable area of Austin, Texas. There, he wrote and performed with some of the great tunesmiths of the area while getting to know the lay of the land.
2005 brought Chris back to southern California, a guitar case bulging with new songs.
As soon as the word got out that he was again available for project work, he has been busy ever since.
PROJECTS
Chris has been involved in national live performance projects as well as commercials and film sound tracks. His musical recording experience runs deep, recording for large and independent labels as well as many southern California based artists. This resulting in an impressive discography of demos and final masters.

NOW

He is presently recording, co-producing and preparing the final tracks for a new CD release. Due out Summer of 2010.
