Hello.I'm Orb Vroomer,and I've joined ReverbNation to showcase my original compositions and my Vroomulator.Several songs are studio (sequencer) versions, but most are live playing with no overdubs.{ If it says 'live @ ' it's live} When performing live ,I don't use:tracks,sequences,motifs,loops,etc. When I perform at live venues.
I do use:"stuck notes" (note on only) and tempo driven LFO's.Every sound you hear is a midi note from a stick hit.The vroomulator is : Drum Tech FSR pads,the "L.I.S.A." [Longitudinal Infinitesimal Striking Apperatus ] pad (by Orb),the "W.E.E.L." [Wound Energizing Electro Link] (by Orb), 2 foot controllers, 4 foot switches into: an Alternate Mode DrumKat and Midi Kiti into: a Mapper into: an E-Mu Proteus,E-Mu Orbit,Korg MS 2000 into : an Allen Heath mix wizard.There are a total of 28 triggers on the Vroomulator.The live songs are either recordings from Saint Louis area clubs ,or live in studio recordings.So the live versions may have 'flaws', missed notes - I'm live here , not in a studio.The mix went to DAT straight from my mixer - no multi- track.This is the same stereo mix heard in the club.Also check out my videos,here & on YouTube.Those videos will provide a visual image of how these songs are performed.In my newest studio live videos , I trigger the light show , along with the sounds.No techs or tracks on those - 100 % live drumming control of the midi sounds & lights through the Alternate Mode DrumKat controller.Thanks for stopping by my site & please have a look & listen.Please leave a comment.
