Rick Treffers (1967) is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Treffers got known as frontman and composer of dreampop ensemble Mist (www.mist-music.com), formerly called Miss Universe.
Between 2003 and 2008, Mist toured the world and released three interesting albums which received wide international acclaim.
In 2007, Rick Treffers released his first solo-album in Dutch ‘Het heeft niets met jou te maken’, in 2009 he recorded and released six songs with Nits-drummer Rob Kloet for the play ‘Mara' (theatre group De Maan). In 2010, the conceptual album ‘Prettige Vooruitzichten’ is released in Treffers’ own label Skipping Records.
