Michele Mitchell completed her MFA in Creative Writing with a Special Concentration on Poetry from National University in San Diego in 2008. She has performed in Open Mics and Poetry Slams from Omaha to Philadelphia including The Philadelphia International Art Expo. Her poetry has been featured in many books and online journals such as POETSONLINE.ORG, NEFARIOUS BALLERINA, NATIONAL UNIVERSITY'S THE GNU, and SLAMMA LAMMA DING DONG: AN ANTHOLOGY OF NEBRASKA SLAM POETS which won the Nebraska Book Award for Best Anthology in 2006.
RIGHT NOW she is compiling work and ideas for her first CD.
