Biography:

Virginia born singer–songwriter, Tiny Barge formed his band Tiny Barge and The Big Chill in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1986. The band quickly rose to being the foremost act in Southern Colorado and was a cornerstone for what became known as Rocky Mountain Soul Music. For over 20 years Tiny Barge The Big Chill has continued to be one of the regions most popular bands. Tiny and the band play a variety of rock, blues, R&B, and Motown, as well as Tiny Barge originals.

Tiny and the band have headlined and shared stages with many of the great names in Rock, Soul and Country music. For over a decade they were a fixture at the nationally acclaimed music festivals Country Jam USA (Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Grand Junction, Colorado) and Country Thunder USA (Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and Phoenix, Arizona)

Tiny Barge has written songs for Gladys Knight & The Pips, Les McCann, Maxine Nightingale, Sandra Feva, and Creme D Cocoa.

From 1990-2001 Tiny Barge and The Big Chill were the featured performers at the John Elway Celebrity Golf Classic and also had the distinct honor of performing at the NFL Hall of Famer's official retirement party. Tiny Barge and The Big Chill remain everybody's first choice as Colorado's favorite party band. “Let the good times roll!”

Press:

“For 40 years Virginia born singer–songwriter Tiny Barge has been mixing it up musically. He started out with two bands he formed way back in junior high school, eventually getting his first pro-gig with the El Corols Band and Show. His talent as a song-writer soon became evident and helped change the sound of El Corols. Teaming up with songwriter Fangette Willett, Tiny was soon writing the songs being heard from many recording artists of the time. Forming “The Big Chill” in Colorado Springs in 1986, Tiny Barge and The Big Chill now play all over the US for corporate parties and events (like the John Elway Celebrity Golf Classic), but can frequently be found coming back to Colorado Springs for a night of rockin’ funky soul hits like they played Saturday night to a packed house at Stargazers Theatre. ”
