Biography:

Chris Golden is a Singer, Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer, Traveler, and Father. His history in the music industry is epic, spans multiple genres, and is rich in heritage. He has deep roots from his tenure on tour with Alabama, Restless Heart, and the Oak Ridge Boys, but his heart for serving the Lord has led him to where he is today. Chris’s ability to captivate an audience with an inspirational message has afforded him opportunities to perform for every living United States President and share from prestigious stages such as The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry House, Dollywood, The Huckabee Show, Larry’s Country Diner, and The Holy Land (Israel).

In addition to his own endeavors and touring schedule, Chris is an award winning music producer and is highly decorated throughout various organizations with his most recent honor being voted 2021 JMA Gospel Artist of the Year, ICMA’s 2019 Entertainer of the Year, 2020 Instrumentalist of the Year, and Producer of The Year, with his latest album 'Grateful' garnering FIVE number one songs and multiple awards.

Despite all of Chris’s success, he understands who he serves. In 2010, he was told by someone (who was undeniably heaven sent) to, “Play for the One who gave you the gift.” By doing so, he seeks to help others forget about the world for 75 minutes, worship, and take away a good dose of hope, love, and light. THE LIGHT. When not out blessing others, Chris enjoys photography and spending time with his beloved Marie, and his three children, Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Elijah, whom he deems his greatest treasures.

“'In the midst of all the craziness in the world, Chris Golden's new song "Grateful" reminds us of a gentler time and the truly important things in life. Chris has never sounded better and his warm, evocative voice wrings every ounce of emotion out of the tender lyric. The video, shot at his family's Alabama farm, is amazing too! Check it out!'”
Deborah Evans Price - Jubilee Cast

“If anyone spends any time listening to, asking about, or reading over any material pertaining to Christian Country music, they will not get very far without discovering the name Chris Golden. This son of William Lee Golden (Oak Ridge Boys) has worn the hat of booking agent, promoter, publicist, producer, session leader, photographer, art director, videographer, engineer, driver, sound man, roadie, caterer webdesigner, travel agent, road manager, and merchandise wrangler. Among the accomplishments of Chris Golden is that he has played with three of the longest running bands in country music: the Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, and Restless Heart. He also has mastered the ability to play an incredible number of instruments. On Golden's past albums, he has played drums, piano, acoustic guitar, mandolin, electric guitar, organ, harmonica, and bass guitar. In 2017, he was given the opportunity to perform for every living U.S. President, and was able to meet five of them.”

"Whether you're watching Chris Golden perform on stage or chatting with him off stage, it's obvious he has a passion for sharing the gospel and encouraging people. Golden is a gifted communicator and nowhere is that more evident than his latest album Less of Me. He lends his warm, evocative voice to such classic tunes as "Life's Railway to Heaven" and "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms," infusing timeless songs of faith with a fresh sense of commitment and enthusiasm. The highlights on this collection are numerous including the Glen Campbell-penned title track and his take on the Oak Ridge Boys hit "Thank God for Kids," which he delivers with his father, the Oaks' William Lee Golden. "What Salvation's Done for Me," co-written by his brother Rusty, is a compelling number with an uplifting message. It's a powerful collection of songs, and a must have record for anyone who loves country gospel music delivered with authority and heart."
Deborah Evans Price - CMA Award winning author, Nashville correspondent for Billboard

“On Sunday Shoes, Golden makes a full-circle return to gospel music, the sound that remains his home base. The two-tone leather soles and shoeshine service on the album jacket say it all: He’s mining the genre in style with music that’s sure-footed, sturdy and built for the long haul. ”
Tom Roland - Nashville Journalist
