Michael Clayton Moore decided he wanted to be a singer after he got up on stage with a friends band in Alpena, Michigan and sang “Crazy Train”.
After he finished a 6 year stint in the US Navy he went back to Alpena and played with several cover bands eventually relocating to the south east coast of Florida where he found his way to a cover band that would tour the United States, Canada and Mexico for 3 years giving him the opportunity to hone his “front” man entertainer skills.
He decided upon his return that he wanted to perfect his vocal skills and thus began a love affair with classical music that continues to this day!
Michael sang with various Opera companies in South Florida including the Palm Beach Opera as well as with the Gold Coast and Palm West companies.
He also sang with the Palm Beach Players, a community theater ensemble, performing the roles of Judas and Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar as well as the Phantom in Phantom of the opera.
He continued to sing with a cover rock band as well as writing, recording and performing with critically acclaimed progressive rock bands “The Truth” and “Random Play” . In the midst of all of this Michael picked up the acoustic guitar and developed a solo acoustic act performing a wide variety of music from country to hard rock favorites, hits from the 60’s thru today. He is constantly learning new songs and willingly attempts to play any and all requests.
He is as comfortable performing Jimmy Buffet or CSN at the Tiki Lounge in Islamorada Florida as he is performing Nickleback and AC/DC (acoustically) at
any number of rock clubs in Fort Lauderdale or Bruce Springsteen on the Jersey shore. Also if the need arises Michael is happy to don a tux and sing Classical and Musical theater favorites!
