Since early 2006 Winghan Ontario's SMOKESHOW has been working on building a crushing old school metal sound drawing from such influences as COC, Pantera, Metallica, Black Sabbath, mixed with a more contemporary vocal styling highly influenced by Devildriver, Lamb Of God, Terrorhorse, and The Black Dahlia Murder.

In late 2009 early 2010 new members, vocalist Jeremy Kingyens and bassist Jordan Kingyens (formerly of Brand New Eyes) joined the band intensifying the live performance delivering and completing the hard edge the band had been searching for. Since joining forces with guitarists Andrew Mair, Jason Schiestel and drummer Scott Schiestel, the five piece has been playing as many live shows as possible, recording their first album, writing new material, and leaving their mark on the Ontario metal scene.
