Though their songs may be easy to sing along to, it's often difficult to pinpoint one specific genre, when it comes to Delaware hometown favorite, Clive. The acoustic driven quintet falls somewhere between 90’s pop rock, early gospel, sea shanties, and campfire folk songs. The band drops lyrical references anywhere from Charles M. Schulz’s “Peanuts” comic strip to the lofty writings of C.S. Lewis, and draws comparisons to artists like Ben Folds, The Decemberists and Toad the Wet Sprocket. Catchy melodies sung over a backdrop of folk instruments set the scene, revealing musically crafted vignettes which range from British pubs to midwestern highways, ghost town saloons, and southern sanctuaries. Lead singer, Brad Almond has also had the honor of winning the WSTW "Homey Award" for best local songwriter in 2008, with the release of the band's whimsical album, "Every Bubble in the Deep Blue Sea Got Swallowed in the Belly of a Shipwrecked Sailor".
"Once in a while you hear music that is so charming and timeless you get stopped dead in your thoughts and just have to bobb your head along. Thats these guys. Clive writes music in such a sweet and simple way, its perfect. I have this cd in my player daily."
