Biography:

From the poverty stricken streets of Cameroon (W.Africa) to the concert stages of America and beyond, Mbandi has come a long way. With a social media following of tens of thousands of fans and almost 1 million views on Youtube, Mbandi has managed to build a legion of fans hungry for his every note. All this buzz has been generated without the backing of any major record labels.

Mbandi's music pulls from his experiences growing up as a child in W. Africa as well as his experiences in the USA; which is the land he calls home today. The Washington Post wrote "Attending a Mbandi concert is like sitting by the fireplace reading a heartwarming and humorous autobiography punctuated by a series of world class musical performances".

Mbandi was born in Limbe, a small town on the west coast of Cameroon, W. Africa. He spent his formative years listening to western artists like Phil Collins as well as African and Jamaican artists like Yvonne Chacka Chacka and Bob Marley respectively. This, as well the struggles of life growing up in Africa have made Mbandi the man and the musician he is today.

At the age of 15, Mbandi left Cameroon to pursue a degree in psychology and biochemistry in America. He graduated at 19 and was the youngest graduate in the entire university. After graduation and a brief stint in corporate America, Mbandi decided to pursue his dream of becoming a full time musician.

Mbandi's performances in the US as well as internationally have thrilled audiences and critics alike. His music which has a characteristic rhythmic anchor, heartwarming harmonies and catchy melodies has been viewed through his Youtube channel 1 million times in six short months. Mbandi is a rising star well on his way to becoming a force to reckon with in the international music scene.
