The beginning of Love After is traced back to July 2007, when Ace Damon starts writing songs for a melodic heavy/rock/metal ensemble. Nine months later, with two albums written, auditions started. Lead vocalist Roxy and drummer Wolf joined the band, which started playing the written material while searching for other musicians. Their first demo "A Final Blessing” was released in October 2008, having the single "A Moment In Time" as an advance of the work in progress. The band received quite a few good critics.
In January 2009, the band decides to go on in Portuguese language too, when Ace begins to translate some songs from the English repertoire. Love After self-launched their Portuguese album "Vita Dominae" in September 2009. A heavy production and powerful songs, with the additions of keyboards and guitars strolling around as background to the excellent voice of Roxy, presented there more sweet and powerful than ever, brought to the band excellent reviews from those who followed the work of the band.
In November 2009, videos were recorded for some "Vita Dominae" songs, and the recordings of English material were resumed. "Excelsior" is the name of the first English album. Released in January 2010, it includes some songs of "Vita Dominae", this time in English, and it is the logical continuation of the first demo. Hymns like "This Nameless Emptiness" and "Rising Sun", along with ballads like "A Moment In Time", show a band climbing the power metal horizon the best way. "Excelsior" sounds heavier than "Vita Dominae" and is the English version of "Vita Dominae" in every way.
The band is now finishing the E.P."Acta Deorum", a preview of the next album "Magna Mater", and it’s, by far, the most powerful and heaviest work to date. It includes some of the best songs written by Love After."Broken Wings" and "Just Believe" speak for themselves.
