SNAGGLEPUSS formed in the Queen City during the summer of '99 from a list of regional/national acts including: FETCHIN' BONES, SUGARSMACK, COME ON THUNDERCHILD, NEW JACK RUBIES, PSYCHO KILLER and SMITHWICK MACHINE. The Snags three DON DIXON produced discs, THE COUNTRY CLUB SESSIONS (2001), PARADING ABOUT IN THE ALTOGETHER (2003) and THE SOUND REPORT (2007), capture their horn fueled new wave rock party attitude.
“A mix of Let's Active southern jangle and B-52s' theatre of the absurd.”
John Schacht - Creative Loafing
“More indie rock should sound like this, instead of the smooth sound favored by indie bands today.”
Andrea Weiss - Tone and Groove Webzine
“Most people compare these new wave hotdogs to the B-52's, and with their loopy dance-party vibe and boy/girl vocals, that's a dancin' shoe that certainly does fit.”
Steve Pilon - Joe Rockhead
