Biography:

Originally known as "Uprising" the band changed it's name to "Rastafire" after the release of it's 1st CD in 1993, titled "Rastafire". That CD made #10 on the U.S, indie reggae charts and started a situation with a band back east that already had rights to the name "Uprising" so with the CD on the market the decision was made to switch the band name to Rastafire and the CD to Uprising. it worked, Bobby Dread, and Special K added new members Charles Hicks, Claudius Raffiana, David Borton, Ken Schick and Mike Vondran to complete band and they performed all over Northern California Lake Tahoe, Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Since moving to Arizona in 2001 Bobby Dread has had the pleasure of performing with many talented performers under the RastaFire banner. RastaFire's lineup now includes Leonard Interior, Ramon Torres and Bobby Dread.
