Biography:

Eric Peterson began playing the guitar at age 7, but not seriously until age 15 upon receiving an electric guitar. He was hooked on the dominant guitar bands of the 80's including Van Halen, Dokken, AC/DC, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Eric joined his first rock band after only playing the guitar for 3 months and began teaching the guitar a year later. Eric's been in various bands over the years but has worked mainly as a solo artist and studio musician. He released two new albums in 2017 (one acoustic, one electric), and now has 20 CDs to his name.

Eric’s main influences include Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Neal Schon, Michael Hedges, and Christoper Parkening.

Eric can be found in his project/home studio teaching the guitar, creating new instrumental songs, improvising over jam tracks, transcribing guitar licks, or collaborating with a musical friend or client. Eric has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in IT Security and works by day as an Information Security Engineer and certified ethical hacker.
