Under The Influence are a three-piece metal band based in Perth, Western Australia(WA). Combining elements of metal, along with dissonant harmony and displaced grooves, U.T.I's sound is distinct and unique, drawing on influences from many genres, including jazz-fusion and blues.
U.T.I launched "II" in W.A 24th April to a capacity crowd at Black Bettys, one of Perth's premier venues. This was the highlight of an extensive WA promo campaign throughout March, April and May 2008.
On the national scale, "II" has received airplay on Triple J's "Full Metal Racket", and many other metal radio programs around the country. U.T.I have also featured in Australian Guitar Magazine on numerous occasions, receiving rave reviews.
