Based out of his home town of Minneapolis, with roots in the tradition of the classic American singer-songwriter, James Nels Carey is both a student and master of the genre.
Musically influenced by legendary American artists like Paul Simon and James Taylor (whom he expertly covers BTW), as well as British pop and rock artists from the 60's and 70's, James has created his own unique musical voice.
Whether covering other great songwriters or performing his own songs, James' dynamic vocal expression and refined guitar playing reveal a true musical ability to deliver the essence of the song.
Currently, James is working on a new, all original EP, due for release in 2010.
