Bombastic and…short

Mistakes all over the place
4. Briefly
Quite over-the-top disco!
5. Following Albert
A facebook idol
6. In his bed
A melodic instrumental
7. Aquaplaning
7 minute kraft-pop
Electrosingersongwriterpop! That the unique style of the Dutch composer/producer/artist Alan Lauris. Catching, melodic, sometimes touching, often funny popsongs with jazzy, electronic and classic influences.
After a few EP’s, in 2006 Alan Lauris' first solo-album: 'Connect Me' was released on his own ‘Canal Island’ label. Many songs on this album are written together with the English lyricist John Coughlan. Alan and John won seceral songwritingprices together. In march 2009 the second album ‘Different Frequency’ was released. It got very good press!
Alan is also composer and/or producer for other artists.
“dat is dan ook waarom deze EP (die overigens net zo lang of soms zelfs langer duurt dan sommige ‘grote’ artiesten op een CD persen) hier inmiddels op repeat staat. I’m Following Alan!”

“There is no doubt that Alan Lauris is our lonely champion in the electrosingersongwriterpop genre.”
YIKIS
“Highlights are ‘You need a shredder’,’Time out’ and the remix of ‘1987’. The original is already quite good, but the remix with pumping beat and radio-items really adds something. Thery’re the pearls of a strong album.”

“The song arrangements move from being upbeat and happy, to atmospheric, to ethnic as it is on Ratrace which can be either Greek or Russian depending on which why you want to look at it.”

“The first track, Time Out is instantly recognizable as something that comes fresh out of the movie The Breakfast Club, sitting side by side with Simple Minds and David Bowie.”

“Different Frequency has painted an aural landscape that's strongly reminiscent of the 80s electronic new wave and pop techno mixed with a small dash of 70s progressive rock sans guitar prominence.”

“With a cool, restrained tenor voice not unlike Sparks’ Russell Mael (sans Mael’s outrageously wicked flights of falsetto), Lauris delivers proto-dance pop with an infectious nod-and-a-wink exuberance that’s irresistible.”
radioindy.com
“That own style is why Alan Lauris sticks out above many other singer-wongwriters”
musicfrom.nl
“Alan presents a new album filled with traditional synthpop with a somewhat new romantic feel, with one quirky, fun song after another.”
