Badenya Drum & Dance grew from an obsession with African rhythms and has evolved into a percussion & dance ensemble playing both traditional African rhythms and original material. The power and precision of centuries-old organic rhythms paired with the beauty and exuberance of Malinke dance makes Badenya one of west Michigan's most exciting live music experiences.
Formed in 2009, Badenya Drum & Dance has performed at Earthwork Harvest Gathering, Cowpie Music Festival, Buses by the Beach Bus Benefit, The Orbit Room, The Pyramid Scheme, Founders Brewing Company, Wealthy Theatre, Schuler Books and Music, Billy's Lounge, Festival of the Arts, UICA, and Laughfest.
