Dirtbag Love Affair debuted in the Charlotte NC music scene in 2009 delivering high energy shows and truckloads of drunken bravado. Every tale told in their songs was a true story of a band living up to its name. The band proudly wore their influences on their sleeves (or lack thereof). You could hear it in the Dropkick Murphys style sing alongs; see it in the Johnny Thunders-esqe recklessness; and most importantly feel it in the heartfelt, simplistic, and honest songwriting learned from Social Distortion. With a large pool of influences between the four members, Dirtbag Love Affair won over every crowd when opening for artists as diverse as LA Guns, Wednesday 13, and ANTiseen. The band took the rock n roll party on the road as much as possible too. The album release was coordinated with the bands final show……
Come on, did you really think this group of loud mouthed, shit talking, nose breaking, woman stealing, car crashing misfits would keep silent? We are Dirtbags at heart! Did you really make it through that pretty biography up there? Well, here is the real story.
Dirtbag Love Affair is back. We are a little bit older, a little bit wiser, perhaps even a bit more sober. (Davie, Devin, and Tony still have all their hair though.) We are gonna play you some loud and fun rock n roll and have a damn good time doing it. Do we have ourselves a deal? We thought so! We will see you from the stage very soon

“This Charlotte quartet gets down and dirty, as the name implies They offer a fine line between rock and punk in a style that offers a bit of nostalgia for the hair metal of old. There's plenty of songs about drinking here, so raise one up and toast the type of rock where punk is celebrated as much as passing out.”
Jeff Hahne - Creative Loafing
“...they may just be the best punk band Charlotte has to offer. We can only hope they would give us the middle finger for thinking so”
