Life on Hold has been making waves in the MA music scene since their formation in early 2007. Fusing a straightforward rock and roll mentality with pop sensibility, it's easy to fall in love with the melodic sense exhibited by these young songwriters who are just now hitting their stride. Currently working on their fourth EP, Life on Hold has set out on a new musical direction, just as they have with each production to date. Whether your tastes be rock, pop, or folk, Life on Hold is sure to hit the note to suit your tastes!
“Needless to say, when I saw that Life On Hold were working on a third album, I was excited to hear how they had grown again. When The Outsider EP was posted yesterday, I downloaded the tracks, cued up opener “The Wanderer” and, less than 30 seconds in, my jaw literally dropped in shock. Was I sure I had downloaded the right thing? Life On Hold continue to be a band that I have a great amount of respect for. At the same time, I continue to ask myself, “Why aren’t they famous yet?” I have a great feeling about this record, though, and believe that it absolutely has the potential to launch this band to the next level, where they have deserved to be for quite some time.”
Rebecca Frank - One Last Request
“Starting off with a dash of string quartet, The Run-Around EP kicks into some sugary pop punk that could part the clouds on even the gloomiest Boston day. "Forever and Always" as well as "The Greatest Let Down of the Century" are incredibly catchy songs that will keep you awake and singing along like a Halloween sugar high. Throughout "Atlantic Summer", Ally demonstrates her monster vocal ability while reaching into the listeners chest, giving those heart strings a gentle tug. Following in the footsteps of pop-punk greats, Life On Hold sports some great songwriting and an exciting, engaging live show. Everyone involved has awesome pipes, and they consistently make use of them. With their strong musical skills and sunny dispositions in both their music and their personalities, Life On Hold deserves success.”

“Currently in the studio, we still love their EP The Element of Surprise. With a sound that gets the best of Paramore and Fallout Boy with their girl / guy lead vocals, it’s impossible not to be caught up in the excitement these youngsters put into their music. Here’s hoping for a big 2010.”
Boston Music Spotlight - Ten Local Bands to Watch in 2010
"I will tell you right now that they are one of the hardest working bands in Boston. They get it done and they're a lot of fun onstage. They are young, but they're certainly one of the most professional and nicest bands around. They're really good people, I like them a lot."
Quote by Jon Ricci of Lansdowne, article by Jed Heneberry - Boston Music Spotlight.com (Boston)
“[Life on Hold's] half-hour set was extended an additional 20 minutes because of audience demand for their music. Life on Hold brought to the stage a solid, tightly performed combination of metal and hard rock instrument work with an energetic and powerful female lead vocalist.

“Driving music with great hooks and tight harmonies couldn’t possibly
sound sunnier and cheerier than the four songs on this EP.
[Life on Hold's] songwriting is effervescent and relentlessly memorable
and the songs still sound fresh and earnest.
