Biography:

I write songs in the quiet of my own mind. I may be in the car, at work, in the shower or in bed, but it’s always private. personal. I’m inspired by old hymns and mountain songs, my great grandmother, a special needs child, a suicide, a news story, my time in Africa, a guitar lick, maybe even an old flame. Most recently, my songs have been birthed from the loss of my sister. Regardless of the inspiration, I am always amazed when my music reaches into the heart of a stranger and stirs something. I hope it stirs something in you. Peace. Erika

Press:

“Erika Chambers featured songs from her debut full-length album...And we think you’ll like what’s on it based on last night’s trio of original but classic sounding tunes.”
Craig H - Music City Roots

“Mixing elements of country, gospel, and blues, Chambers relates timeless tales of heroes and villains, lost lovers and those who are left behind, and the meek and the able...Chambers is not afraid to depict humanity’s flaws, but ultimately, she showcases us at our best.”
Carolyn Dixon - Melodic Sunburst

“I was blown away, and an instant fan. She has a voice and a style very much like Mindy Smith... She has an "old soul" quality to her music”
Eric S. Wyatt - Livejournal.com

“The final song was an in-studio performance by Erika Chambers, doing an original song... It was so good you almost couldn't believe people hadn't been singing it for years. (referring to "O Star O'er Bethlehem")”

Leslie Armstrong/Radio Promoter-HMG Nashville

“Erika pours her heart and soul into each song, and it is evident in the reaction she receives from her audience. People are not only mesmerized by the beauty of her voice, but also by the incredible story that unfolds within each of her songs.”
