2017 is the 25 year anniversary of when Gary Milholland, aka Mission Man, started making music. A friend told him to "kick a rap" when he was 13. He did, and so began his lifelong love of making music. A few years later, in 1998, Gary picked up the drums, bass, guitar and keyboard. Since then, his music has evolved into hip hop without ego, and Mission Man continues to expand his musical capabilities, becoming more of a genreless songwriter.
Along the way, Mission Man has been heckled, and homeless, in pursuit of his dreams. He has also been praised and called "inspirational" by many of his fans.
Mission Man will be releasing "25" on January 20th, 2017. It contains 25 career defining songs from his 25 year music career. It is now available for pre-order at pledgemusic.com/missionman.
“Regardless of whether you’re listening to an early Mission Man track recorded with bare bones equipment or a more recent, elaborate tune...one thing is for certain: you’re probably going to feel better afterward.”

“8. Mission Man, “These Are the Moments.” Gary “Mission Man” Milholland is the only artist featured in each of our last two playlists (this one and Weirdify 6: When You’re Strange, our tribute to outsider music). Yes, he’s that amazing. That free-form guitar solo at the end of this track? Genius.”
