Biography:

Opensight is a band with an honest and versatile vision of music. Their songs are born from the rock/metal background but are inspired by the sophistication of progressive music and the dramatic effect of cinema. Dynamics are created thanks to contrasts, where the agression and dissonance are met with melody and athmospherics,
resulting in songs with complex arrangements but simple structures. Memorable melodies, dynamic
shifts, acoustic passages and lyrics that deal with personal and universal realities are the ingredients that give Opensight its identity. A band willing to experiment with music that’s progressive but not pretencious.

Press:

“There are two main things that separate this band from other new prog bands; 1) they aren’t fucking Djent and 2) they aren’t fucking shit.”
Zohar Houston - plugmeinmusic.co.uk

"Only When" and "Deleted Scene" for example, are two excellent pieces that can achieve success if promoted properly
Davide Perletti - Noizeitalia

“All in all I am optimistic for Opensight’s future. They are not slavishly following one specific band or genre, but blending their influences into something that has rough edges but should win both respect and success”
Kim Monaghan - Sittingnow

“Sonically, there's something different about Opensight. Something about the way the guitar and bass are mixed here. The five tracks on The Voice Of Nothing EP take their prog metal influences -- citing such big names as Devin Townsend, Opeth, and Cynic -- and wrap them up in neat little packages”
Dan Upton - ANTIMUSIC.COM

“I believe the album’s greatest strengths lie in it’s understanding and appreciation of melody, whilst also harnessing some really catchy hooks and choruses”
The Number Of The Blog

“Opensight are a genuinely unique, powerful, rock band. This brief EP offers myriad ideas and showcases the band’s technical prowess in a glowing light. An excellent release from a remarkable band – well worth your time.”
Phil - Sonic Abuse

“this band is a welcome addition to any collection. I think they showcase a band with a keen eye for melody, adventurous arrangements and songs with identity. Quite an achievement!”
Peter Cox - Your Music Blog

“The point is that this album ("The Voice Of Nothing") is mind-boggling for any Progressive Metal fan to put in their Prog collection. The evidence is here in the flesh.”
Zachary Nathanson - Music From The Other Side of the Room

““The Voice of Nothing” is perhaps one to get on the grow. What you hear is a band that searches its own identity”
Sabine van Gameren - Tempelores

“How to keep your metal both “human” and “animal” at the same time? It is a subversion that many have tried to achieve (Metallica, Carcass or Mastodon, among the ones that have succeeded) and it appears throughout this first full length from Opensight.”
Eugenio Chahin - Rolling Stone

“SPANISH La música y el cine han tenido una relación íntima desde que el séptimo arte dejó de ser mudo. El Metal y el Progresivo también, desde que algunos músicos dejaron los prejuicios de lado y se volcaron a la interesante tarea de mixturar la complejidad de un estilo con la crudeza del otro. En ese juego de extremos, Opensight ha demostrado manejarse muy bien. ENGLISH Music and Cinema have an intimate relationship since the seventh art stopped being mute. Metal and Progressive music have that kind of connection too, since some musicians have left aside radicalisms and started mixing the rawness of one genre with the complexity of the other. In this game of extremes, Opensight has proved to handle their music very well.”
Manuela Expósito - LATINMETAL

“OPENSIGHT sounds “clean” Great guitar work, good distortion and powerful vocals, and the band is still able to come up with clean passages and intros in order to offer variety to the listener. Opensight sounds as good live as in the studio. A record worth checking out.”
