Biography:

Hello world! I'm Gary Shaine, a solo artist who has been doing my thing for quite a number of years. I started out as s drummer, and expanded my capabilities with guitar & singing to make it interesting. I try to harness that power for use in writing as well as performances. As a drummer, I believe first & foremost in playing for the song. But also I believe that there is way more than that when performing live. I like to take advantage of the visual aspect in my performances and try to entertain.

Currently the drummer for "The unHandsome Devils" based out of Pekin, IL. I'm also very privileged to have worked with was British singer/songwriter Carina Lirola and producer Andy Lee. I'm also a former drummer of Cemetery Gatez (America's #1 Pantera Tribute Band) and Hot Action Cop from Nashville, USA. Hot Action Cop is STILL one of my favorite bands. Also, I played drums on the SEBASTIAN BACH song called "Another Nail" from Liberty 'n Justice. Currently, I reside in Central Illinois.

2013 marked a time when I could finally take what I do into a big commercial recording studio. After being in the business for as long as I have, I made quite a few connections and finally used one properly. Out of all of the studios I've seen, I was blown away with "Dark River Studios" in Peoria, IL. I worked directly with Colt Capperune (owner/recording engineer) on recording my latest song, "Perfect World". Not only is he a very down to earth & good guy, but his attention to detail is uncanny. It was a very comfortable atmosphere to record in too, which helps!! In the upcoming weeks, I looking forward to releasing 2 more singles recorded in DRS.

Most all of the other songs you hear on this page were written & recorded by yours truly in my own personal studio, with the exception of "Empty Faces", which was recorded in the "Noise Gate Studio" in Pekin in 2007 for my old band StepDown. Music for "Empty Faces" written by Michael Layne, Lyrics & drums: Gary Shaine, vocals: Sean Rennau, bass: Cody Barra, Gutars: Michael Layne & Dirk McCoy. Also, "Day of Rest" - All music by Gary Shaine, Lyrics Sean Rennau & Gary Shaine, Vocals: Sean Rennau.

Please check it out & let me know what ya think! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Peace.... G
