Yamadeo is based out of Tallahassee, Fl. They offer a style of reggae-influenced rock, which while drawing inspiration from the artists’ that have influenced them, has translated into a sound that is unique to the band. Yamadeo is defined by their ability to put on a memorable live show that is second to none, as well as the knack to create music that people truly want to listen to. Since the band’s formation in 2009, and the release of their 2010 “People Get Crazy” EP, it’s always been about getting the crowd in party mode and with that mantra the band has grown their fan base by playing hundreds of shows across the Southeast at many of the area’s most reputable venues, beach bars, college bars, and frat houses. They have also received regional radio airplay, been on an independent film soundtrack, and performed as support for many national acts (the Dirty heads, Rehab, the Toasters, Gorilla Zoe, Supervillains, Cas Haley). With the release of their debut album “Doin’ It” in August of 2012, Yamadeo is set to keep working harder than ever to continue to grow their fan base and share their music with anyone willing to give it a listen.
Yamadeo is made up of brothers Ben Goldman (guitar/bass/vocals) and Brannen Goldman (bass/guitar/vocals), who provide their instrumentation, individual songwriting skills, and vocal harmonization and add it to the beat of hard-hitting Bobby Boyd (drums), who never falls short of impressing with the crisp punishment he unleashes on his set. Add the improvisational jazz-inspired flavor of tenor saxophone player Kenneth Edmondson and you have a sound that is Yamadeo.
