Biography:

Ed To Shred came about as the result of interstellar forces combining to form a power trio like none other. The story of Ed starts light years ago, when as a youth Ed heard the sounds of 80’s guitar virtuosos on his home planet of Ionia Prime. Ed believed that his guitar playing would be an asset to that genre, and he decided to come to Earth. However, Ed’s time travel skills were not as honed as his six-string skills and he landed in the southwest in the late 1940’s. Not knowing what to do with such a musician far ahead of his time, Ed was frozen in carbonite in Area 51, placed in storage, and lost in the paperwork of the US Government.

In the late 2000’s, Ed was discovered in cryogenics by a field agent of the NSA (National Shred Agency) named Agent J. Agent J knew that Ed had missed his time but maybe a resurgence of instrumental guitar was what the world needed to bring peace, harmony, and tasty shred guitar back to the people. Ed was thawed, debriefed, and given the opportunity to show off his decimating fret board antics.

In 2008 Ed entered the Dean Ultimate Shredder Contest and out of over 1200 people worldwide, placed #1. He has played at the Annual Dean Owners Convention in Florida, the Pontiac Dream Cruise in Detroit, MI, and is currently endorsed by Dean Guitars, XOX Guitars and Digitech Guitar products.

Ed to Shred has garnered a sizable and devoted underground following on the Internet, and have been #1 on the reverbnation charts in the Portland, OR, area for metal for well over 30 weeks. Ed, Agent J, and Agent D are putting the finishing touches on their first full length CD due out in 2011 and Agent J was given the authority to use any and all means necessary to provide the general public with a live performance that will set the bar.
