Bill is a fiery Boston based singer, songwriter, pianist whose music is defined as Soul Funkified Jazz in a recent review. His music is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and other major outlets. Bill is nominated as Best Jazz Act for 2012 by New England Music Awards, is a Steppin’ Out with the Stars Talent Search Winner and winner of the Independent Music Awards (IMA) ringtone category. Marty Marmor of Schmusicmusic considers Bill to be among “Some of the best unsigned music in the world”
Bill started playing rock and blues on the Hammond B3 organ on his first working gig with a bar band in a waterfront club in Troy, New York. He cut his teeth in this 9 piece band, learning from ear the styles of bands from BS&T and Chicago, to Earth, Wind and Fire, and the Ohio Players, and jam bands like The Allman Brothers, Santana, Tower of Power and Traffic.
A few bands later, Bill was touring the states with club and small venue acts. Being self taught, Bill picked up everything he could from the wide variety of the players he toured with, including jazz standards, jazz fusion, reggae, southern rock and blues, alternative rock, and Latin / salsa.
He came to Boston to attend Berklee and learn more about his trade from the best. Boston is now his home, where he has shared the stage with such artists as Lalah Hathaway, Esperanza Spalding, Paula Cole, Lynn Fiddemont, Charles Pedegrew, James Cotton, James Montgomery and others. Bill’s passionate, energetic show can be seen in the North East US at many clubs and festivals.
Bill self-released his first full solo CD in 2007 titled, Water’s Edge, referring to the scenic area where he lives--Winthrop, Massachusetts, overlooking the harbor and Boston's amazing skyline. In 2009 Bill released his CD entitled Bounce, celebrating Bill’s full “bounce back to his first love, music.”
