Chicago-based house battery, Midway Strangers have been bumping their brand of chunky, funky bass on the city’s music scene for more than three years. A former deep house innovator of the Orlando and St. Louis underground, Harrell has translated his ear for layered sound and quirky beats into residencies at some of Chicago’s most esteemed electronic music venues. Production partner Jolby set up shop in Chicago after making his own mark in Nashville. Since heading north, Jolby has turned his taste for rolling basslines and dirty beats into dance-floor friendly fare that turns crowds on ear.
