Dallas Peavy spent the 90s a drummer in many groups ranging from percussion ensembles to jazz rhythm sections to lo-fi indie rock bands. 2005 saw him meeting singer/guitarist/producer Patrick Finn, Texas Brit-Pop innovator. The two quickly began writing songs. Soon thereafter they landed Sir Dennis McGrew, McGrew through and through, a stellar bass player and singer experienced in power rock jams. The combination of Peavy's indie influences, Finn's post-new wave pop leanings, and McGrew's varied curiosities creates a sound evoking Elvis Costello and XTC colliding with the Pixies and Radiohead with an electric cocktail of Nada Surf, Superdrag and the Posies coursing through veins of steel.
