Upon first listen to their single 'Turn The Radio Up!', a casual listener might mistake nineplanfailed as just another poppy, upbeat ‘indie-rock’ band. But buried beneath those catchy hooks and sing along choruses is a sombre message about the possible consequences of ignoring child abuse.
And so it is with the Swansea-based post-punk outfit. Like the best of the bands from their scene, nineplanfailed are not concerned with following trends, but with crafting their own brand of spiky, hooky guitar pop with dark edges and brooding, cynical lyrics.
With an arsenal of wickedly smart, aggressive, hook filled music behind them, nineplanfailed released their debut EP with Death Monkey Records in 2012, and are currently recording their new EP with acclaimed producer Bobby Bloomfield for release sometime in 2014...

“these guys really have tunes and the ability to create perfect, noisy anthems that so many young bands fail to do. They combine the best bits of Joy Division, The Rakes and Gang of Four and to me that is absolutely brilliant to hear.”
John Shortland - beatreview
“...the songs were dark, melodic, mini masterpieces that any fan of guitar music would love.”
