“after listening to the demo I can definitely say that Apehanger are killer. Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Ricky whose throaty vocals are reminiscent of Kirk Windstein at times as he roars through five tracks about creatures from the deep, weapons of war, the walking dead, and scorpion women. Ricky also plays guitar with Will pulling axe duty as well and they churn out some crushingly heavy guitar riffs. The rhythm section with Adam on bass and Jay's drumming sounds good and adds an extra level of heaviness to the brutally slow guitar riffing. If this demo is any indication of the future of Apehanger, I can't wait to hear more from these guys. This is a demo that fans of sludge & doom should definitely check out!”
