Biography:

Johnny on Point is a 3-Piece LiveTronica dance band from Iowa City, Ia. J.O.P. features members Johnny (Derek Pulliam), Delta Nine (Ryan Persinger), and Mr. G(Aj Wessling). Pulliam began this project in 2008 after stepping away from his former jamband, Hunab. JOP started out playing acoustic sets with friends from the Iowa City band Five in a Hand. After 3 shows, and much thought, Pulliam realized that he was being pulled towards doing something totally different. Play live electronics! New dj gear was purchased and the journey began.

In early 2009, multi talented Ryan Persinger joined adding live guitar and keys. Together they began practicing and writing their debut album, "Keefin it Real." The album was supported by playing many shows and festivals. Since the release they have shared the stage with Signal Path, Heatbox, Telepath, The Histronic, That One Guy, and Eoto. They also have had the chance to play many local and regional shows and festivals.

Johnny on Point is currently recording their second album, "Keefin it Gangsta," which is set to be released in May of 2011. "Keefin it Gangsta," has a totally fresh sound that creates a rare fusion of Hip-Hop, Livetronica, Breakbeat, Gangsta, 80s Pop-tronica, to Disco and debuts' dear friend; bassist A.J. Wessling. We have many surprises in store for you and look forward to raging a stage near you!
