In the 1970’s when I got to LA I quickly changed from French horn to guitar and worked combo’s around LA. I soon signed up with Burke Dennis at Apogee Mgmt. (Olivia Newton John). I worked LA and went to college. In 1976 I did a short gig on tour with the Association and then back in LA in 1977 I would get into the hottest dance band in town …White Licorice …with monster lead singer Joe Pizzulo (“Never Gonna Let you Go” …Sergio Mendez). That learning experience lasted a year. During the 70’s I also worked many times with neighborhood friend David Benoit and also with such great musicians as Doc Doolittle, Bill Breland and Budd Rude. LA is my lady!
In 1981 I would leave for Canada and the lucrative $1K a week playing single gigs. In 1983 I ended up in Bellevue, WA and went to work playing again mostly single gigs for the King Vac Agency. Except for a wonderful six month Hong Kong tour I stayed close to Seattle.
In 2004 I took my baby girl to ASU and paid and finished my Indy songs with Michael Radford at AMI Records, Nashville.
Now in 2008 I have signed with Colt Records and someone who really believes in me and and my music moved to Las Vegas …and I’m back to my real career!
I always knew I could do it …the wheels just turn so slow. Thank you very much for reading this and listening to the records.
