The lines, Married to the music, its useless, I'm monogamous, pretty much say it all. With a fierce and undying passion for his craft, Hassahn Phenomenon breathes a fresh breath of life into asthmatic world of music. Combining all the elements it truly takes to move the crowd, this Chicago emcee is on a path to transcend what is consider hip-hop. Staying true to himself, Hassahn's music is a reflection of everyday life. He captures the essence of what it is to be human. As a native of the Southside of Chicago, like every other Black youth growing up in the city, Hassahn has witnessed struggle, poverty, and everything that is affiliated with it. By not letting those situations consume him, he was able to escape the sometimes-invisible wall that surrounds the black community.
Born to a young mother whose parents wanted more for her, they took her to have Hassahn aborted. God must have wanted different because she was unable to have the procedure due to complications. That complication goes by the name of Hassahn Phenomenon. Not realizing his true potential, it was not until college where Hassahn really understood and embraced his gift. Following in the footsteps of his many influences, The Phenomenon entertains like the groove behind Michael Jackson's kicks, his lyrics penetrate the soul like a Stevie Wonder hit, but all with a hip-hop twist.
Legendary emcee, Rakim once said that, MC stands for Move the Crowd. This is the statement that the man known as HP lives by. Whether it is making you think, making you cry, or making you dance, Hassahn is brilliant at capturing the essence of human emotion; therefore he is a man that can move the crowd in a way that transcends race, gender, and creed. Yes, he has graced many stages; yes, he has a song featured in a major motion picture; yes, he wrote a song for the legendary group Jodeci; and yes he has been featured in several publications, but none of those things tell the true story of Hassahn Phenomenon.
In a vigorous pursuit to satisfy his hunger to be recognized for his talent, Hassahn has is poised to provide a home-cooked meal for today's fast food industry. It is in his music that you can get to know the man behind the microphone. When you here the words, Its the return of the magnificent, so incredibly incredible, so extravagantly extravagant, it is then and only then that you will be in the presence of a true PHENOMENON.
“Legendary Emcee, Rakim, once said that “MC means move the crowd.” Chicago native, Hassahn Phenomenon has taken the philosophy and ran with it. Currently living in Hollywood, CA, Hassahn is now making his mark on the industry with mixtape appearances and collaborations with artists from LA to New York, and as far as the UK. From major motion picture soundtrack credits in the movie Redline to mainstream press coverage in the Chicago Tribune’s Redeye, True Magazine, and Okayplayer.com, the Phenomenon is the talk of the industry. He has a mean pen game as he just recently wrote a song for the highly anticipated new Jodeci album and quite a few others. He has blessed stages from the BET Soundstage in Orlando to the legendary Temple Bar in Los Angeles. He represents the elegance, tenacity, passion, intelligence, story-telling, lyricism, and stage presence that is lacking in today’s Hip-Hop. He is culturally relevant but by all means a leader and follows his own agenda.....”
