Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, F.size.free is inspired by world known artists such as Blondie, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and The Who. Using a mix of live guitar, clear vocals and computers to produce his lively, upbeat music, F.size.free can be described as a refreshing 21st century new wave/glam Indies rock version of his idols. His tunes are upbeat and fun, yet strong and very catchy; creating clean and refreshing music that everyone can enjoy.
As a two-member group, F.size.free’s first album was entitled Righty Right? and gained them early recognition when their song Charisma was used for the Konami arcade game Pop’n Music 12.
After releasing a new EP, Plastic Love Collection on iTunes, F.size.free played in the UK at the J-Culture Con 2009. Continuing on in 2010 as a eminent solo artist, Eiji released Crystal Boy on iTunes and successfully played his first US live on May 28 at Tune in Tokyo in Los Angeles, CA resulting in great reception from attendees. Eiji was the first Japanese artist to play in America in 2011, hailing in the New Year with fans at MadHatter Magazine’s Goth, Rock & Lolita New Year’s Party in Chicago, IL!
"As described by Eiji, the meaning of the band name "F.size.free" is to be able to compose freestyle music. The style and sound of the music is very unique and draws influences from 70's glam rock and 80's new wave music. They incorporate some characteristics illustrated by Japanese images into their music to create something very different that I, personally, have never heard before."
